Teterin Engineering has completed a project that sets new standards in the highly specialised engine reconditioning market.

In an Australian first, the team recently refurbished a CAT 3612 Gas Engine Block. The 3612 series CAT engines are very large engines at 5m long, 3.5m high and weighing about 25 tonnes when fully assembled, generating 3,600 brake horse power. The engines are fuelled by gas.

Teterin Engineering's 'Step Up' Training a Great Success

Teterin management has recognised and responded to the need to provide additional in-house training to promising young tradesmen and senior apprentices. The training course has been designed to address identified needs specific to Teterin’s business and its employees and has involved Forsythes Training to prepare a tailored course at Certificate 111 level which acts as an introduction to our ‘Frontline Management’ course. The course has been named the Teterin Step-Up training and contains modules in; Applying Risk Management Processes; Communicate Information; Contribute to Team Effectiveness; and, Support the Operational Plan.

Capability

Teterin Engineering reconditions large crankshafts, conrods, diesel, marine and gas cylinder heads and cylinder blocks up to 6000mm long. We also provide engine assembly, testing, repairs and rebladding.

Service Exchange

As a NATA-accredited recognised service facility (RSF), Teterin Engineering supplies machining, reconditioning and coding services for engines, cylinder heads, turbochargers and manifold components used in underground ExDES protected mining vehicles.
