Establishment of Teterin Engineering by Alan Teterin, son of Alex, operating from Fern St Islington, Australia.

Acquisition of Teterin’s current premises at Cnr Clyde St & Girling St, Islington, Australia (then a bearing manufacture factory known as PJ Bearings).

Acquisition of adjacent heavy engineering facility known as Phelps Engineering at Cnr Girling St & Price St, Islington, to expand Teterin’s operations.

Reconditioning of RAN Oberon Class Submarine engines.

Manufacture and testing of RAAF Ordinance Trailers.

Launch of Teterin’s Integrated Management System (IMS) – Quality, Safety and Environment systems.

In-situ machining for RAN ANZAC Frigate with MTU 4000V Main Propulsion Engine.

2011

Acquisition of CNC Multi-Purpose Machining Centre with touch screen, auto tool changer and 6,100mm bed.

2012

NATA Accreditation for ExDES engines as a Recognised Service Facility and Type C Inspection Body.

Acquisition and installation of Dynamometer and Engine Test Cell.

2013

Successful trial and design of repair method for RAN Hedemora Cylinder Heads.

Establishment of the Teterin Training Centre, for in-house skills enhancement and external technical and further education in management and advanced engineering.

2015

Establishment of Cirrus Power Systems, a gas engine specialist joint venture between Teterin and Germany’s August Storm GmbH & Co. KG.

2017

Commencement of Australia-wide field service for gas engines.

2018

Completion of engine rebuilds for two MWM 2020 gas engines.

Redesign of Teterin’s engine assembly facility, cylinder head and crankshaft sections, for better process flow and efficiency.

Celebration of 5 years with no Lost Time Injuries (LTI).

Completion of Jenbacher 3 series gas engine rebuild.

Acquisition, installation and commissioning of CNC Crankshaft Grinder for 4,600mm cranks with a 12,000mm long bed, synchronised work heads and gap-elimination function with dynamic balancing grinding wheel.

Acquisition of CNC Head Valve and Guide Cutting Machining Centre, 3 axis with integrated design system.

2020

Grinding of Cat C 175 crankshaft journals – an Australian first.
